From the start, we here at Hypable have been all about creating a unique fan experience. One way we’ve tried to accomplish that goal is by providing various podcasts that go in depth on your favorite topics.
Today we’re introducing a new show that will serve as our flagship program: Hype.
Introducing ‘Hype’
Our great podcasts like Glee Chat, Vampire Hype, Talks of Camelot and WhoHype will continue to dive deep into television shows like Glee, The Vampire Diaries, Merlin, and Doctor Who. Hype, on the other hand, will cover multiple film franchises, some TV, and also discuss books, games, and whatever else we have to get excited about.
Hype will be hosted by myself and fellow writers/podcasters Selina Wilken and Tariq Herzallah. On each episode (released every other week) we’ll welcome one or two additional Hypable writers to help us discuss their respective fandom realms.
You can download the first episode here, and/or subscribe here on iTunes! You’ll notice that today we’ve also redesigned our nav bar. One of its new features is its easy access to Hype.
On a personal note: Re-introducing ‘Hype After Dark’
Some of you may know that I do a show which also was named Hype. That show is now called Hype After Dark, and it’s the other half of my longterm podcasting future.
In a way, Hype After Dark is an extension of Hype. Though it’s not officially associated with Hypable, Hype After Dark extends beyond the fandom news we discuss on Hypable’s new show.
After Dark requires a monthly subscription: For $3.99 per month, you get four 90-minute (minimum) episodes. After Dark is recorded weekly with my friends and is 100% live, high quality, entertaining discussion of entertainment news, world news, and personal events. Visit the site to sign-up and/or listen to a sample now.
What this means for the other podcasts
For me personally, Hype and Hype After Dark are my long-term podcasting projects. These will be the only two shows that I do in the longterm to ensure that they are the best that they can be.
We will be closing several podcasts in light of Hype’s introduction. The first to be stored away will be Cinema Hype, HeroHype, and Game Hype. They will be placed into our Archived Podcasts section so the old episodes can still be accessed. Imprint and Hunger Games Chat, as listeners know, have already ended. MuggleCast will be ending this August (we will be doing at least seven more episodes). We will have more to say on the next episode of MuggleCast, and we will never rule out doing shows in the future if big news warrants it.
