The first poster for the upcoming high school reunion film 10 Years has been released, giving us a glimpse at the immense talent involved, including the two stars Channing Tatum and Rosario Dawson
The film apparently came about when Tatum and Friday Night Lights star Scott Porter, who are old high school friends, got to discussing their high school reunion on the set of Dear John. Tatum had not attended and began peppering Porter with questions about it, when screenwriter Jamie Linden (We Are Marshall) joined in. From there three producers got involved, including Twilight producer Wyck Godfrey, and the film became what it is today.
Somehow the project has attracted essentially every major young star in Hollywood, as shown in the poster below (via EW):
For those of you who are unfamiliar with some of those names, here’s a brief list. Channing Tatum, of course, is known for Step Up and Magic Mike, to name just a few. Rosario Dawson has had a lengthy career, including roles in Sin City, Alexander, and Rent. Tatum’s wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum (Step Up) also stars, as does John Carter star Lynn Collins. As previously mentioned, Friday Night Lights star Scott Porter has a role, as do Justin Long (Accepted), Chris Pratt (Parks and Recreation), Anthony Mackie (The Hurt Locker), Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Recreation), Oscar Isaac (Drive), Brian Geraghty (The Hurt Locker), Max Minghella (The Social Network), Ron Livingston (Office Space), Ari Graynor (Fringe), and Kate Mara (127 Hours). Yep, that’s a huge cast.
The film, directed by Jamie Linden, is set to open September 21. We can expect to see a trailer quite soon to accompany the poster. Are you excited for this one?
