Fresh off his Oscar-winning turn as George Valentin in The Artist, Jean Dujardin is in talks to join Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, and Kyle Chandler in Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street.
Terence Winter, creator of HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, wrote the screenplay which is based on Jordan Belfort’s memoir chronicling his rise (and eventual fall) as a power player in Wall Street.
Variety reports:
Dujardin is in talks to play Jean-Jacques Handali, a suave Swiss banker involved in laundering illicit funds for the protag’s firm.
Dicaprio is set to star as Belfort, with Hill playing his close friend and confidant. Kyle Chandler is also on board as the FBI agent who built a case against Belfort. With these integral pieces already in place, it will be interesting to see how Dujardin fits into the equation.
Are you excited to see Dujardin join this already impressive cast?
