6. Have Lydia’s feelings for Stiles changed?
In episode 11, Lydia kissed Stiles in order to distract him from the panic attack he was having. It worked, and you could see the surprise on both of their faces. Stiles has had a crush on Lydia for a long time, but prior to the end of the season 2, Lydia barely even knew who he was.
Stiles’ feelings of Lydia have probably not changed much, though it has been obvious that he wants to move on from her. He might still love her, but if she doesn’t feel the same way, what’s the point of hanging onto something that won’t change?
But that kiss might change everything. At the end of the finale, we see Aiden and Lydia together, but we can’t deny Lydia had an interesting look on her face after she kissed Stiles. Could she be looking at him in a different light now?
7. What other creatures exist in the ‘Teen Wolf’ universe?
We knew for a while that more than just werewolves existed in the Teen Wolf world. The Kanima was a major clue to that, but also the bestiary that the Argents consulted whenever they went up against something they didn’t know.
Now that the Nemeton is active again, we know more supernatural creatures will be showing up in Beacon Hills. Whether they’ll be good or bad will probably depend on a case-by-case basis, but we’re sure the town is never going to be the same.
We know that the Kitsune myth will take center-stage in the second half of season 3, but what other creatures are out there? Are they all just shape shifters a la the werewolves, the kanima, and the Kitsune (were-fox), or do other beings exist as well?
8. What is Gerard’s end game?
We know he has one. He’s had one since we met him for the first time. Just because plan A didn’t go exactly according to plan, doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have a plan B stuffed in his back pocket.
He’s still sick, but there’s a good chance he’s getting better. And once he does, everyone better watch out. He’s cancer-free now, but Gerard has a thing for power, and we wouldn’t be surprised if there was something else out there that he wanted.
Does he still want to be a werewolf? IS he a werewolf? Is he something else? There are so many questions and so few answers at this point, that we’re just going to have to accept it and wait until January for Teen Wolf to return.
9. How will other hunters feel about the Argents changing their code?
Chris and Allison Argent hung up their hunting gear after the season 2 finale. With most of their immediate family dead or crazy (and in some cases, both), they didn’t want to get anywhere near a crossbow.
That is, until they showed back up in Beacon Hills and felt they needed to deal with the Alpha Pack and the Darach. In the finale, Chris is ready to put all his weapons back in storage, but Allison has another idea. She wants to change their code from “We hunt those than hunt us,” to “We protect those that cannot protect themselves.”
Will this have a lasting effect on the hunter community? We know more hunters will be showing up in the second half of season 3, but what will they think of the Argents’ new outlook on life? Will the Argents be ex-communicated, or will they be hailed as heroes?
10. Exactly what are Lydia’s powers?
This has been a question we’ve all been wondering since the beginning of season 2. Lydia has been immune for a while, but why? Did that mean she’s something else, or that she just can’t be turned by the bite from a werewolf? Peter tried, obviously, but was unsuccessful.
It turns out that Lydia is actually a Banshee. That’s all well and good, but we’re still wondering what exactly that means. Her scream is a powerful one, and we know she’s connected to death in some way, but is there more to come?
In the finale we learned that she can get “feelings.” She felt that she was standing in a graveyard, and this proved to be true after Jennifer killed Kali, Ethan and Aiden. Will we see more hints at the extent of her powers next year? We sure hope so!
