London Pawnbroker Jabez Wilson is the character introduced in “The Red-Headed League” who goes to Sherlock for help when his employer, who hired him for his distinctive red hair, goes missing.
Jabez’s pawn business only requires him to work in the evenings, so he takes up a part time gig of copying Encyclopædia Britannica for the Red-Headed League to make some extra income during the day. Sherlock is fascinated by the case and promises to solve the mystery quickly.
Photos from the Sherlock set have revealed that the special they’re filming – which is expected to premiere before series 4 around Christmas 2015 – is set in the classic Sherlock era.
