Disney’s international Jungle Book trailer is very exciting and introduces us to new animals and amazing live-action footage not included in the film’s first trailer.
While we still hear Bill Murray as Baloo whistling at the end of this new The Jungle Book trailer, it has all kinds of new looks at the film’s characters. One very cool shot is Mowgli as a young boy being introduced to his panther mentor Bagheera, played by sir Ben Kingsley.
The Jungle Book’s first trailer was highly-praised for its amazing CGI, and while many fans are curious how this film will turn out, this new international trailer’s footage looks promising.
In the first trailer, Mowgli was seen riding on Baloo (played by Bill Murray), and despite an unrealistic situation in the wild, it looked completely realistic as the giant bear saunters up with the little boy on his back. We hear Murray voicing Baloo as he whistles “The Bare Necessities” near the end of both trailers.
We imagine Bill Murray nails this role, and makes the film funnier than expected. Other cast members include Lupita Nyong’o (Raksha), Christopher Walken (King Louie), Idris Elba (Shere Khan), Scarlett Johansson (Kaa), and Giancarlo Esposito (Akela).
The Jungle Book’s release date is set for April 15, 2016. The film introduces actor Neel Sethi as the main character, Mowgli, and includes an astonishing group of actors voicing the roles of the animals.
The Jungle Book’s official synopsis reads, “Directed by Jon Favreau (‘Iron Man’), based on Rudyard Kipling’s timeless stories and inspired by Disney’s classic animated film, ‘The Jungle Book’ is an all-new live-action epic adventure about Mowgli (newcomer Neel Sethi), a man-cub who’s been raised by a family of wolves. But Mowgli finds he is no longer welcome in the jungle when fearsome tiger Shere Khan (voice of Idris Elba), who bears the scars of Man, promises to eliminate what he sees as a threat.”
