Vice President Joe Biden meets Leslie Knope—future president and the woman who has always been in love with him—in next week’s installment of Parks and Rec Season 5. Remember Knope’s line, “Joe Biden is on my celebrity sex list — well, he is my celebrity sex list,” as you watch the preview video.

Editor’s note: NBC’s Parks and Recreation was not trying to make a political statement by having Vice President Joe Biden on the show. The show was taped long ago, and Leslie has long been in love with Biden, so please do not use the comment section of this website to bash the show for making a political statement.

Just a few days after President Barack Obama revealed that Parks and Recreation is one of his favorite shows and less than 48 hours after the Obama/Biden team was re-elected, it has been revealed that Vice President Joe Biden will appear on Parks and Recreation next Thursday at 9:30 p.m. in the episode “Leslie vs. April.”

According to Entertainment Weekly, who broke the story yesterday, the show has had to keep the episode a secret, so as not to appear as a political advertisement for Biden. But it’s no political advertisement, because Leslie has pined for years for Biden. (Her ultimate man has “the brains of George Clooney and the body of Joe Biden.”)

In case you forgot how much Leslie loves Biden, check this out:

The best: Ben’s face as Leslie reveals that she could never do better than Biden. (Is that a hint of jealousy Ben?)

Executive producer of Parks and Rec Michael Schur, according to his interview with EW, had this to say about Biden: “He was very nice and charming … He was clearly a big fan of Amy. It was the day the Emmy nominations came out and when he walked through the door he congratulated her on her Emmy nomination … He said some very nice things about the show and talked about how the pro-public service message was meaningful.”

In our humble opinion, who could not be a fan of Amy Poehler? But that is a question for another time. According to Schur, when they arrived to film Biden, who was excited to be a part of the show, President Obama walked away to fly on his helicopter as Biden came to join the cast. Surreal, to say the least.

And now the moment you have all been waiting for … the video preview of Biden’s appearance on the show:

That smile he cracks when he looks over at Leslie is going to make her melt, no question. How do you think the episode will unfold? What will Leslie do now that she has met the man of her dreams? (Also #Knope2024, who’s with me?)

UPDATE: Several photos from the episode have been released, four of which feature Biden:
