It was this month one year ago that we launched Hypable. We set out to cover general entertainment news but bring it to you as true fans. Passion and reliability were our promises. Now we’re taking things to the next level!

new design:

As you see, we have an entirely new design on the home page. Most noticeable is the way we’re displaying the news. We don’t want to look like your average blog, so our new Grid layout serves you the latest news in a fresh way.

As you scroll down the main page you’ll see various areas inserted in between the latest stories. ‘Check This Out,’ ‘Most Commented This Week,’ ‘What We Think,’ ‘Latest Podcast Episodes,’ and ‘Pictures and Videos’ highlight some of our original and best content.

Don’t like this new design? We encourage you to try it for a few days to get acquainted with it – we know it’s a big change.

… but if you REALLY want the old version back, we got you. Sign up for a free Hypable account, head into My Feed, click Customize, and switch to Classic enabling you to revert to the traditional news feed. While you’re at it, use our unique My Feed feature to select which fandoms you see.

If you already have an account, head over to My Feed and follow the aforementioned instructions.

fandom hubs:

We wanted to celebrate the one-year anniversary with more than just a redesign. So today we’re introducing Fandom Hubs! Hypable is now more than just news. At launch we have over 100 pages of information written exclusively for the site.

Hubs available immediately are Harry Potter, Twilight, The Hunger Games, Once Upon a Time, Doctor Who, and Glee. Game of Thrones and Super Hero Hubs will arrive in a couple weeks, then more will be rolled out in time!

thank yous:

BIG thank you’s are in order. First of all, Hypable co-founder Richard Reid has been working on this redesign for months. No challenge is too big, and thanks to his impeccable coding skills no feature or design element is impossible.

Second, thank you to our new Fandom Hub writers who wrote up all of the original content you see in the six Hubs. They are: Jessica O’Neal, Anne Weisenstein, Sarah Badger, Tanesha Rogers, Brittany Rae, Bella Chadwell, Kristina Lintz, Stacey Wallace, Laura Gallant, Anthony Rex, Sara Patterson, Helena Sheffield, Fiorela Canaj, Laura Douglas, Colleen Kozacheck, Azaria Hill, Emily Zitterkopf, and Josephine Mangani. We’re proud to have them on board, and more from these writers will be coming in the future! You can read more about them on the About Us page.

Thank you to our writing team – both the writers and editors. On weekdays we’re pumping out at least 40 stories a day, and their dedication is truly unmatched and endlessly appreciated.

As always, thank YOU for your amazing support! Our whole staff works hard every single day knowing that you count on us for your fandom news. It has been, and will continue to be, a pleasure to serve you. Power to the fans!

(P.S. After a good night’s rest, we’ll happily listen to any feedback you have about the redesign and content. Feel free to make suggestions in the comments section below.)
