We still have several weeks (heck, months) to go until The Walking Dead season 4 returns in February. So, why not enjoy some teases about the remaining episodes?

Light spoiler warning!

Speaking with TV Guide, executive producer Robert Kirkman revealed three tidbits about The Walking Dead season 4’s remaining eight episodes.

1) “Carol will definitely return before the end of the season.”

This shouldn’t be too big of a surprise because she’s a fan favorite who serves a purpose. With the prison no longer in play, Rick won’t have to worry about Carol killing people who’ve come down with the infection.

Now that the prison is in shambles, everyone is on the run, and it’s not too difficult to imagine one of the many humans bumping into Carol, who as far as we know is still alone.

2) “The Sanctuary, which was discussed in that radio message, will come into play”

Remember that message heard in the vehicle by Michonne, Daryl, Bob, and Tyreese? Their examination of the message came to a halt when a huge swarm of zombies was standing in the middle of the road. Now that the humans have no home, could this mysterious sanctuary become their new safe house?

3) “Via flashbacks, there will be glimpses into the lives of our favorite characters.”

Again, we know that some of survivors will be by themselves after running their own separate ways from the prison. This seems like the perfect opportunity for flashbacks. Each of the characters is spending a lot of time deep in thought and reflecting on their life, so we may be sharing these flashback moments with the characters as they pop into their heads.

The Walking Dead season 4 will resume new episodes Sunday, February 9 on AMC at 9 p.m. eastern/pacific. To help you deal with the wait, the network will be hosting a full marathon of the series in between Christmas and New Years.
