Let’s hope that Victoria Beckham is “caught in a craze” and that her recent comments about a Spice Girls reunion are “just a phase!”

Stop right now, Victoria! It may be time to say “goodbye, my friend” to any hopes of another Spice Girls reunion in any form.

Speaking on the Today Show earlier today to promote her new line of clothes at Target, ’90s icon Victoria Beckham destroyed any hopes that another Spice Girls reunion would ever happen. When asked by Today Show’s Savannah Guthrie if there would ever be another reunion with the Spice Girls, Victoria had a response that will surely upset many fans.

“There won’t be a reunion because I think that when we performed at the Olympics it was so great. And that was us celebrating everything that we achieved.”

Victoria went on to really twist the knife that she used to stab our hearts, saying, “But I think that you need to know when it’s time to actually say, ‘That was great, we achieved a lot.’ And everybody moves on.”

Excuse me, what? Who exactly has moved on? In fact, it seems that Victoria may be the only person on Earth who has moved on from the Spice Girls. Social media is usually abuzz when there are rumors or chattering of a Spice Girls reunion of any kind, including this tweet from a disgruntled fan:

If there’s a silver lining in any of this, it’s that Geri, Emma and Melanie B recently teased a new group/music known as GEM. While we are excited to hear and see what’s to come with GEM, it seems that project has been sidelined or delayed, likely due to Geri’s recent pregnancy.

This also leads to other questions about the future of the Spice Girls in general. Could the group still perform as a foursome (without Victoria) like they did after Geri left the group? Could the Spice Girls potentially do a Las Vegas residency, again, without Victoria, as Perez Hilton suggested in a tweet?

Here’s the Spice Girls video for “Goodbye” if you want to watch it through your tears like we are right now.
