The Walking Dead‘s lead man, Andrew Lincoln, has spoken about the upcoming showdown with The Governor ahead of this Sunday’s episode, 3×13 “Arrow on the Doorpost.”

Andrew Lincoln who stars as Rick Grimes in AMC’s hit television show The Walking Dead, has openly teased fans about the upcoming showdown with David Morrissey’s character, The Governor, in an interview with Access Hollywood.

And, if anything is to go by as it appears on the previews it looks as though 3×13 “Arrow on the Doorpost,” which airs this Sunday, is the destination for the first showdown. Lincoln said, “There is a face-off coming” before stating, “The writers have done a terrific job in just making a few twists and turns that you wouldn’t anticipate.”

Morrissey was also on hand in regards to the upcoming showdown. Morrissey is quoted as saying, “I think the main thing to say about that is what the show has done in the last half of the season has been full of surprises and twists and turns and I think people have been pleasantly surprised about how the show develops, and it’ll carry on in that way.”

“So the meeting that I think you’re expecting – it might have a little bit of an edge to it or something different anyway. It won’t be exactly the meeting you were hoping for.”
