What did you think of The Vampire Diaries episode “My Brother’s Keeper”?! Are you ecstatic, sad, disappointed, shocked? Tell us in the comments!

The episode just finished and it was so filled with WTH moments it’s hard to choose just one. First Stefan turns Jeremy into a killing machine who he now can’t control. Second, Hayley is not who we thought she was because she is clearly working with Professor Shane and lastly we have the moment Delena fans have been waiting for, only to have it ruined because Elena is sired to Damon instead of actually loving him. SERIOUSLY!

Let’s start with Jeremy and the raging hunting. Not sure on what planet Stefan thought creating a hunter was a good idea – whose primary purpose is to kill vampires – when all of his friends and family are vampires. Jeremy, although now a vicious hunter, is still a sympathetic character. He didn’t want this; Stefan is kind of to blame for this one.

Next we have the Hayley and her duplicitous ways. Clearly she and Professor Shane are up to no good. The big question is who does Professor Shane want to cure? Obviously he has a reason for knowing everything about the hunters and wants to use the hunters map for a purpose. Could the map lead to something more than making Elena human again?

Now on to the real sticking point of this evening: Delena. SERIOUSLY SIRED! Couldn’t they just have one moment that was just for them? The episode started off with such promise but soon it was clear that there was something not quite right about Elena’s feeling for Damon. It will be interesting to see how the writers deal with this moving forward. Are Elena’s feelings for Damon just a fluke of being sired or does she really have them and they are heightened because of being sired? So many questions!

Next week, we’re taking a step back in time to explore another part of the Salvatore brothers’ past. It’s a World War II flashback, and Arielle Kebbel returns as Lexi! Check out the promo:

The episode description for “We’ll Always Have Bourbon Street” reads:

A FLASHBACK TO NEW ORLEANS IN 1942 — When Stefan confronts Damon with a suspicion about Elena, Damon has no choice but to help Stefan investigate. Searching for answers, Damon and Stefan visit modern day New Orleans to see if they can find anyone who remembers the events of their last visit in 1942, including one of Damon’s former flames, Charlotte. Elena, Caroline and Bonnie share a girls’ night while the Salvatore brothers are out of town, and emotions run high when Elena delivers some shocking news. At Hayley’s urging, Tyler confronts one of Klaus’ hybrids, Kimberly, and the situation quickly escalates into violence. Finally, Damon is faced with a heartbreaking decision.
