The Vampire Diaries Joseph Morgan speaks about Klaus’ battle to win over Caroline and get his body back in season 4 in a new video released by The CW.

In the video, Morgan recaps what happened to Klaus at the end of season 3: he was staked by evil Alaric, but he “played his old trick” and transferred himself to Tyler. He also points out the symmetry of the fact that Klaus entered the series in someone else’s body (Alaric’s, incidentally) and left season 3 in someone else’s body, too.

He previews that in season 4, “I think now it’s going to be all about getting my own body back. I hope it is. Or [Michael] Trevino is just gonna do my job for me for the next couple of episodes.”

Morgan also talks about the big question of whether Klaus and Caroline will ever get together, only saying how funny he finds it that fans think he as an actor has any say in what happens with his character. Well, we’ll take that as a solid “maybe” for Carolaus being a go in season 4, shall we?

The Vampire Diaries is back in two weeks, premiering on October 11 at 8/7c on The CW. The first episode is called “Growing Pains,” and sees the Salvatore brothers, Jeremy and Bonnie fighting to keep Elena from completing the transition and becoming a vampire, while Klaus uses the fact that he’s in Tyler’s body to get closer to Caroline.

And don’t forget that Hypable’s podcast Vampire Hype (formerly known as Secret Diaries Chat) will be discussing each new episode of The Vampire Diaries as they air! We also talk about other vampire fandoms on the show like Twilight and True Blood, but once The Vampire Diaries starts up, we will be focusing a lot on this show.

When do you think Klaus will get his body back?
