Stephen King’s The Stand adaptation is rounding out its massive cast with a few more familiar faces from our favorite TV shows.

CBS All Access’ adaptation of Stephen King’s The Stand already has some pretty impressive big names from the big and small screen. The star-studded and increasingly massive cast already includes: Alexander Skarsgård, who will continue his villainous streak from Big Little Lies as the big bad of The Stand; Amber Heard, of Aquaman fame; James Marsden, from X-Men and as every unpicked love interest in just about every romcom of the last decade; and Whoopi Goldberg, whose name needs no introduction.

Now, CBS reports that three fan favorite faces will be joining the expansive cast: Eion Bailey, best known for his work in Band of Brothers and ER; Hamish Linklater, who recently wrapped production on FX’s Legion and will appear next in the TNT drama Tell Me Your Secrets; and Katherine McNamara, who’s a favorite from Shadowhunters and Arrow, and will be one of the leads in the female-fronted Arrow spin-off.

The Stand is a post-apocalyptic tale of a world that has essentially been emptied by government-created plague gone out of control. In the ruins of a desolate world, the survivors are thrown into an elemental, massive struggle between good and evil. Alexander Skarsgard is set to play Randall Flagg — otherwise known as ‘The Dark Man’ — an immortal, ever-changing presence in many of King’s novels who stands as the embodiment of pure evil.

The fate of mankind rests on the frail shoulders of the 108-year-old other Mother Abagail (here played by Whoopi Goldberg) and a handful of survivors. CBS announced in August that Stephen King himself will write the final episode of the series, one which will include a brand new coda that goes beyond the book.

Eion Bailey will play Teddy Weizak, a superflu survivor and member of the main crew in Boulder, Colo. Hamish Linklater will play Dr. Ellis, a military colonel and infectious disease specialist who dreams of being the hero who stops the superflu. Katherine McNamara will play Julie Lawry, a small-town girl with a wild side.
