The Walking Dead‘s Emily Kinney has been cast as a villain in an upcoming episode of The Flash.

Though there has been no official confirmation yet, Kinney, who played Beth on The Walking Dead, is reportedly joining The Flash as a female version of Bug-Eyed Bandit, a villain from the Atom’s rogues gallery:

Kinney will supposedly play Brie Larvan; a slight name change was required, as in the comics, Bug-Eyed Bandit is male and named Bertram Larvan. Bug-Eyed Bandit commits crimes by controlling mechanical insects.

Bug-Eyed Bandit first appeared in 1966’s Atom #26 as an inventor who initially designed his mechanical insects for pest control. But without financial backing, he couldn’t take his work to the next level. This led him to steal what he needed for his work, but would later use his inventions for further personal gain.

Not long ago, Flash executive producer Andrew Kreisberg revealed that The Flash season 1, episode 18, “All Star Team-Up,” would debut Atom rogue Bug-Eyed villain, as that was the episode Ray Palmer and Felicity Smoak would be appearing in Central City.

Not long after that, we got our first look at the full A.T.O.M. suit, which Ray will be in Central City to get some help with from the team at S.T.A.R. Labs.

UPDATE: We now have official confirmation of Kinney’s casting as Brie Larvan. Her character description from The CW reads:

“Brie Larvan is a reimagining of the classic DC villain, Bertram Larvan, also known as Bug-Eyed Bandit. Brie is a narcissistic tech wizard wreaking havoc in Central City. When Felicity Smoak and Ray Palmer arrive, Felicity recognizes Brie as her nemesis, and the two women engage in a hacker battle for The Flash’s life.”

The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m. ET on The CW.
