Leonard bursts more than just Sheldon’s bubble in a new sneak peek from The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 10.

A new sneak peek has been released for The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 10, showing the inciting incident for this week’s episode of the geeky comedy. The episode, titled “The Discovery Dissipation,” will focus on Sheldon’s reaction to the debunking of his accidental scientific breakthrough in “The Romance Resonance.”

The sneak peek from “The Discovery Dissipation” shows us how the much-heralded discovery – which humiliated Sheldon when he discovered his error – comes to be dissipated.

It turns out that Leonard, of all people, is the person responsible for debunking Sheldon’s game-changing discovery. Of course his intentions were noble (or at least he wanted Sheldon to stop whining), but as it so often happens in the case of Dr. Cooper, you never quite know what you’re going to set off when you start pressing his buttons.

As the preview for The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 10 makes clear, it’s easy to see why Leonard thought Sheldon would have been pleased.

Meanwhile, the official summary for “The Discovery Dissipation” hints at what will follow in the aftermath of Leonard’s (un)fortunate discovery, as well as what Raj and Howard will be up to this week.

Leonard and Amy help Sheldon cope with the shame he’s feeling after his accidental contribution to science is disproved. Meanwhile, Raj must stay with Howard and Bernadette for a week.

NPR radio host Ira Flatow and Wil Wheaton will both guest star as themselves in The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 10. Their appearances can be glimpsed in the still photos for the upcoming episode.

The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 10, “The Discovery Dissipation,” will air tomorrow at 8:00 p.m. on CBS.

Do you think Leonard was right to disprove Sheldon’s discovery?
