The 100 has been renewed for season 5! Find out how the writers, cast and crew are celebrating on social media.
Even though we kinda sorta knew a renewal was in the bag, it was still a huge relief when, on March 10, the official announcement finally came that The CW had chosen to renew its sci-fi staple for a fifth season.
The 100 is not even halfway through its fourth season, but it was already evident that the finale would not prove satisfactory if it were to serve as a conclusion for the entire series.
An early season 5 renewal allows us to breathe and enjoy the show without worrying that we’re heading toward imminent disappointment.

Of course while the fans are happy, the cast and crew of The 100 are ecstatic: For most, it means another year’s employment on a show they love, surrounded by people that have become genuine friends (listen to our friends at Meta Station’s recent podcast interview with actor Sachin Sahel for a glimpse into this enviable workplace environment).
