The 100 season 3 premiere inches closer and closer as 2015 ends, and we have a large bunch of stills to keep our excitement ramping up.

Fans of The 100 have been anxiously awaiting season 3’s premiere since season 2 ended nine months ago. It’s been a long, hard wait, but ultimately, it looks like it is going to be well worth it. If you have been living under a rock and haven’t seen the amazing season 3 trailer, you should definitely check that out.

Now, in addition to that trailer, we have a bunch of stills to analyze and drool over until January 21. In the collection below, we see Clarke’s red-headed look, a couple of new faces, including Roan, the mysterious new Grounder character, and a whole lot of Octavia. Sadly, Bellamy is missing from the pack, but we’re sure we’ll get a big dose of him, as the trailer seemed to put him in the middle of the drama.

Check out the stills below, and make sure to let us know what you think of Clarke’s new look. Just a Grounder disguise? Or is this look more of a transition for the Clarke that left Camp Jaha last year to go out on her own? Only time and The 100 season 3 premiere will tell.

Stills

We also noticed Lexa’s absence from these stills. She is a beloved character, particularly when it comes to her relationship with Clarke (make sure to check out this cute fan fiction that took the internet by storm a little while back). We can’t believe she’s absent, but based on the trailer, we know she’ll play an important role in the upcoming season.

Synopsis

Thanks to IBTimes.com, we also have a synopsis for the season. Check out what we can expect from The 100 season 3.

“For two seasons, the refugees of The 100 sent to Earth have been at war. First with themselves, then with the Grounders, and finally with Mount Weather. Many have lost their lives along the way. All have lost their innocence. They have learned the hard way that in the fight for survival, there are no heroes and no villains. There is only the living and the dead. But now the war is over. The battle against Mount Weather has been won. The prisoners have returned home to a world seemingly at peace, but can they find peace within themselves after what they had to do to escape? And is there more to life than just surviving? Unfortunately, their newfound sense of normalcy will be short-lived, and their lives will be changed forever, as threats both old and new test their loyalties, push them past their limits, and make them question what it truly means to be human. First, they fought to survive. Then, they fought for their friends. Now, they will fight for the human race.”
