The new Teen Wolf season 6 title credits have arrived, and some characters who have never graced the sequence now have a prime spot.

Each new season of Teen Wolf typically gets a new title sequence, especially in terms of changing themes, even if the characters featured in the credits don’t necessarily change.

This season, we’re going to see a theme surrounding memories and memory loss in relation to the Ghost Riders. This can be seen in the Teen Wolf season 6 opening credits below:

This title sequence is interesting for a few different reasons. For one, the actors who get a moment in the spotlight include Tyler Posey (Scott), Dylan O’Brien (Stiles), Holland Roden (Lydia), Shelley Hennig (Malia), Dylan Sprayberry (Liam), Linden Ashby (Sheriff Stilinski), Melissa Ponzio (Melissa McCall), and JR Bourne (Chris Argent).

In season 5, Scott, Stiles, Lydia, Malia, Kira, and Liam were all a part of the opening credits, so for season 6, Kira was taken out and Stilinski, Melissa, and Chris were added in. In fact, this is the only time we’ve seen parents in the opening credits, which is pretty exciting!

Another interesting facet to these new opening credits is the fact that they’ve included a bunch of footage from previous seasons, including season 1! This seems like a perfect fit not only for the theme of this season, but also because season 6 will be the last, and everyone is feeling a bit nostalgic right now!

In terms of new footage, we see the doors of the school blow open and leaves sweep into the hallways during Scott’s section. There’s also a shot of a Ghost Rider shooting one of his guns and the Nazi werewolf escaping from his tank.

Other tiny moments that may be new include the sword dragging across the floor, a flower dropping into a puddle, and a carousel horse covered in blood — at least as far as I can remember!

The final title card includes a shot of Beacon Hills at night, which is the perfect image to leave us with as we explore the town for the final season.
