Yet another teaser for Teen Wolf season 5B has landed online, giving us a few more frames to analyze ahead of the show’s airing in January.

Quite a few promotional videos for the second half of Teen Wolf season 5 have made it online, but instead of offering us new glimpses at the show, they seem to be pared down and targeted to represent a certain idea — Scott looking for hope, the pack being separated, all our faves about to die.

This new trailer offers us much of the same — with an extra emphasis on all our faves dying — but also gives us a couple of new shots from the next season of Teen Wolf. View it below:

There seem to be about three new shots in this trailer, including one of the oni at a slightly different angle. This is more than likely taking place when Kira is fighting it, as we’ve seen in previous clips. Scott also has a new frame in which we see him thrown to the ground in pain. He’s partially transformed, which means he’s most likely fighting another supernatural enemy, though whether it’s someone like Theo or something like the Beast of Gévaudan or the Dread Doctors, we don’t know.

The most interesting new snippet seen in this trailer comes when someone rises from beneath the sand. Given the body’s form and the way the hair looks plaited, it stands to reason this is a woman. We’ve seen Kira fighting three female warriors in a previous trailer, so it seems as though this figure could be one of them.

We don’t know exactly who they are, but they could be tied to Kira’s journey to control her fox spirit, as episode 13 will specifically delve into this. Kira and her mother, Noshiko, will be visiting the New Mexico desert in order to get Kira’s kitsune powers in check and deal with some tough aspects of their mother-daughter relationship. More than likely, these are the Navajo skinwalkers we’ve heard about.

Teen Wolf season 5, episode 11, “The Last Chimera,” airs at a new time and day on Tuesday, January 5 at 9 p.m. ET ahead of the premiere for The Shannara Chronicles.
