Some of the major stars of Teen Wolf have previewed season 3 and what to expect out of their characters. See what they have to say!

CelebBuzz was lucky enough to visit the set of Teen Wolf and get some awesome scoops about the third season. Check out what the various actors had to say about their characters.

Lydia

Lydia is going to take Jackson’s absence pretty hard, perhaps even harder than if he had actually died. Holland Roden tells CB that, “I personally think [Lydia] went through a breakdown because she’s no longer with her boyfriend and the love of her life.”

We know that Lydia and Jackson have had their ups and down, but that doesn’t make it any easier for her. The end of season 2 showed fans that although they fought and were genuinely horrible to each other at times, both still had feelings for each other. “I think he was the love of her life, and so she’s devastated,” she explains.

As for her future on season 3, this could prove to be a vulnerable time for Lydia. Jackson is gone, and Stiles has moved on, which would certainly make her more receptive to manipulation, especially from the Alpha Pack, who already have their sights set on anyone connected to Derek.

Allison

Season 3 picks up four months after season 2 ends. Allison has been away, and she and her father have hung up their hunting gear. Mostly.

With the Alpha Pack now in town, Allison is going to be dealing with some inner conflict. On the one hand, she has promised her dad she would leave the family business, so to speak. But on the other hand, her friends are getting hurt, and Allison isn’t the type of girl to just sit around and let that slide.

“She has to be off the radar. She’s kind of like the person you don’t see coming,” Crystal Reed says. “Because she’s doing it so low-key, it’s kind of like ‘Oh, where did that arrow come from? Must be Allison!’”

This will obviously put tension on the relationship between Allison and her father, but what about her relationship with Scott? Will they become closer after deciding to take a break, or will Allison be moving on?

Scott

Last year, Scott wasn’t doing too well. Things got a little crazy, and he had a lot on his plate. He put himself in danger, and he let his schoolwork slip. This year, however, that’s going to change. “He has since prioritized his life. He’s doing great in school; he’s reading every day; he’s doing a bunch of pull-ups — one-armed pull-ups, by the way!”

It’s nice to see Scott finally taking care of himself, but we can’t help but wonder how long this is going to last. With five new Alphas in town, not to mention several other new characters, there’s no way Scott’s going to be able to ignore everything that’s happening in Beacon Hills. Will he let his grades slip again, or will he be able to balance both aspects of his life?

Stiles

Stiles has always been the brains of the bunch, but this year he’s going to be taking that to a whole new level. “His room has turned into a crime scene [investigation] of sorts,” Dylan O’Brien says. “He has boards everywhere and pictures up and things connected. He has this web of information around his walls, kind of. He’s always been the detective, sort of, but now he’s actually becoming like his dad.”

We recently learned that Stiles will be working with his father, the sheriff, more often, which a lot of fans seemed excited about. What fans weren’t excited about, however, was the promise of lost love and dead bodies. It’ll prove to be a tough year for Stiles, we’re sure, but he also seems to be determined to be proactive about it.

Ethan

Earlier today, we learned that the Alpha Pack will be trying to win Derek’s favor and bring him into their group. When that doesn’t go according to plan, it seems that they’ll be going after members of his pack and anyone else associated with him. Who’s on the hit list? Danny, of course.

According to Charlie Carver, Ethan has his eyes on Danny. The twist here, however, is that we won’t necessarily know if his feelings for the fan-favorite character are genuine or not. We know from a recent spoiler that there will be at least one gay sex scene this season that involves Danny. It seems that Ethan will be the other half of that equation, but what exactly does that mean for Danny and his well-being?

Another interesting bit about the Alpha Pack twins is that they seem to have a superpower on top of their already established werewolf power. According to Charlie Carver, they are “super fast when apart” and fight “very much as one.” That will, no doubt, be fun to watch on screen.

Boyd

We know that Boyd will be getting a larger arc this season and that we’ll find out a bit more about his family. However, the Boyd we saw last season may not be the same one we’re seeing this year. He’s going to come back to Beacon Hills upset about the loss of Erica. “He’s out for blood,” Sinqua Walls told CB. “He’s massively in touch with his wolf-like tendencies and still trying to control them and still learning, and now he’s kind of breaking out, not sure of who to trust. He has a tendency now to want to lash out, and there’s no one there to guide him in how to become a good wolf.”

That certainly sounds like something Scott could help him with. Fans will remember Boyd’s words to Scott when Scott told him he didn’t want to be like Derek, Isaac, and Erica: “You’re right. I wanna be like you.” As discussed on episode 11 of Hypable’s exclusive Teen Wolf podcast, Boyd has always been more independent than Erica or Isaac. He could definitely prove to be a wrench in everyone’s plans, not just the Alpha Pack’s.
