The delayed Team Sonic Racing release date will see to it that the Blue Blur takes a pit stop for some final tuneups.
As the SonicTeam Sonic Racing will hit shelves on May 21, 2019. The originalTeam Sonic Racing release date was this coming December.
The Sonic Twitter account announced the Team Sonic Racing five-month delay earlier today.
Hey guys! To make Team Sonic Racing the best game it can be, we’re giving the team extra time to work on it. Our new release date is May 21, 2019.

Sonic Mania Plus was a very excellent title, with all of the bells and whistles a good Sonic game should have. It’s likely a good thing that Team Sonic Racing‘s release date was pushed back a bit so that it could pass the high-quality standards associated with the Sonic franchise as of late.
Sonic isn’t the only talking animal mascot undergoing some last minute quality control. Spyro: Reignited Triology was another game recently delayed for some final touch-ups. The game was announced as only having the first of its trilogy on the physical disc, with the other two needing to be downloaded via an internet update for the game. The Spyro team acknowledged fan concerns over the physical disc not containing the majority of the game that they were paying for, and thus delayed Spyro: Reignited Trilogy until November 13, 2018.
Team Sonic Racing will release on May 21, 2019 for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
