Taylor Swift just treated the world to a beautiful performance of her Reputation track, “New Year’s Day,” and you’ll definitely want to check it out!

Taylor Swift presented fans with a pretty special surprise on the eve of the release of her highly anticipated album, Reputation.

The “…Ready For It?” singer teamed up with ABC’s TGIT programming to bring fans a debut performance of the heartfelt ballad, “New Year’s Day.”

The track, which is the last song featured on the singer’s highly anticipated sixth studio album, is a huge departure from the songs off of Reputation that Swift has previously released.

The performance came during a commercial break from Thursday (November 9) night’s episode of Scandal and was actually recorded during one of Swift’s Reputation secret sessions.

Similar to what she did for 1989, the singer invited a few lucky fans to a series of four listening parties held at her homes in London, Los Angeles, Nashville, and Rhode Island.

Once there, the Swifties were lucky enough to listen to Reputation in its entirety.

The performance from the secret session features the Grammy Award winner singing the stripped back ballad with only a piano for company.

We’re sure we’re not the only ones looking forward to getting our hands on the album version of the track now that we’ve gotten a chance to hear Taylor perform it in its entirety!
