The Supernatural season 10 finale, “Brother’s Keeper,” airs tonight, as the Mark of Cain arc comes to a head.
The Road So Far
Leading up to the finale, Dean’s Mark of Cain-induced devolution pushed Sam to ally himself with Rowena in the hope of her translating the Book of the Damned to find the cure for the Mark. However, when Rowena was unable to make progress translating the codex, Sam called Charlie and Castiel in for help. But when Charlie ran away, she was killed by Eldon Styne, and Dean went on a revenge-fueled rampage, killing every Styne he could find. Later at the bunker, he also beat Castiel bloody and warned him and Sam to stay away.
Meanwhile, Sam was prepared to shut everything down but then received the email Charlie sent just before her death with her notes for deciphering the codex. So, while Sam was determined to go through with the cure again, Rowena refused to do any more until Sam killed Crowley. Unfortunately, Rowena’s magic was not strong enough to defeat Crowley, who was reminded of his inner evil.
