About SuperHeroStuff’s HeroBox

SuperHeroStuff’s HeroBox is the perfect mystery box for super hero fans. Each box includes $70-$100 worth of merchandise, including a t-shirt, accessories, buttons, and a few exclusives. Best of all, though, you don’t need a subscription to enjoy HeroBox. That’s right, there’s no commitment. Sure, you’ll probably want to come back after ordering just one HeroBox, but there’s no obligation attached.

Another unique aspect of SuperHeroStuff’s HeroBox is the fact that there are two different types of boxes to choose from. The first type is character boxes, of which there are eight ongoing themes that are always available (such as Deadpool and Star Wars). The items in these boxes don’t change from month to month, but they do change periodically. The cool thing about the character boxes is that they ship out within a day or two from when you buy them.

The second type of box HeroBox offers is their monthly exclusive theme box. The themes for the monthly HeroBoxes are announced at the beginning of the month and are limited in quantity. They then all ship out on the same day, just like a traditional subscription box service.

In addition to themes, HeroBox has two price tiers to choose from: The Silver Edition and The Gold Edition. The Silver Edition, retailing for $49, has an overall value of $70+ while the contents in the Gold, retailing for $69, have a total value of over $100. While you can only purchase the ongoing character boxes at the Silver Edition tier, the monthly exclusive boxes are available in both Silver and Gold Editions.

No matter which price tier or type of HeroBox you order, however, you’re bound to be pleased with your jam-packed mystery box!

Civil War HeroBox review

It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with all things Marvel, namely Captain America. I live, breathe, and dream Captain America and couldn’t be more excited for Civil War. When I heard that SuperHeroStuff was offering a Civil War-themed exclusive box for April, I knew I had to get my hand on it. So, believe me when I say that this HeroBox is as awesome as I’d thought it be, if not moreso.

My first impression of my HeroBox was that it was huge and pretty jam-packed. Yes, I did receive a Gold Edition box, so I knew that there would be quite a few surprises in store for me. What I didn’t realize was just how many there would be!

When I first opened the box, the first thing I noticed was the awesome Civil War-themed shirt. Part of me was expecting a sort of standard Civil War image, such as a half shield/half arc reactor hybrid design (or even a half shield/half Winter Soldier design). Imagine my surprise to see a design I’ve never come across before! I love the burning shield motif and the typography of the text at the bottom. I can’t wait to show it off in public and make others jealous!

The design isn’t the only thing I love about my new HeroBox shirt. Most times when I’m ordering shirts off of the internet, I just go with the unisex/men’s style just because women’s sizes are usually hit and miss. But I decided to take a chance and order a women’s size for my HeroBox and I couldn’t be more pleased. The shirt is the perfect size and super comfy.

My new Civil War shirt was just the first of my HeroBox’s large items. The box also included a fun pair of Iron Man sunglasses (which totally look like something Tony Stark would wear) and two pairs of socks, one for #TeamCap and one for #TeamIronMan. While I love both pairs (and the detailing on them is really impressive), I think I’m going to keep the Captain America ones for myself and give the Iron Man pair to my friend who is the biggest Tony Stark fan I’ve ever met. They’ll be like Civil War friendship socks!

The other two “large” items in my HeroBox were a Civil War Captain America Funko and a cool Iron Man pint glass. I’d been meaning to buy this exact Funko figure but hadn’t gotten around to it yet, so I’m so happy that SuperHeroStuff did the work for me! As for the Iron Man glass, I hadn’t been planning to buy anything like it, but I’m equally as excited about it. I’m sure I’ll be finding excuses to bust it out and show it off.

In a normal subscription box, this would probably be the point where the cool swag ended. But HeroBox isn’t a normal box. I was surprised to find quite a few smaller (but no less fun) items below all of the large items and their accompanying bubble wrap! I had a sort of Mary Poppins moment while unboxing my HeroBox because it felt like I’d never stop pulling fun items out.

Though the “‘Merica” bottle opener is hilarious (and totally unexpected) and I look forward to busting out my new playing cards at my next get-together with friends, I think my favorite of the smaller items has to be the Captain America shield earrings. They’re small enough to where they don’t call too much attention to themselves, but big enough to where the shield design is recognizable. They’ll go so well with my new HeroBox shirt!

Also found at the bottom of my box was a pair of Civil War pins (one with Bucky facing off against Black Panther and one with Cap fighting Iron Man), a magnet, and two large stickers. Basically, HeroBox gave me new ways to publicly show off my #TeamCap pride and Marvel obsession. It’s like they know me so well.

I honestly couldn’t be happier with my exclusive Civil War HeroBox from SuperHeroStuff. This box strikes a great balance between fun wearables and nerdy swag. HeroBox really delivers on its theme, making sure that everything in the box ties back to the characters you love. The characters you bought the box for in the first place. If you’re looking for a variety of hand-picked items to show off your love for your favorite super hero, look no further than SuperHeroStuff’s HeroBox service. They’ve got you covered.
