Lots of Star Wars: The Force Awakens news broke this weekend: J.J. Abrams revealed the second word of the film, and says there won’t be an end-credits scene.

We’re less than two weeks away from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. If you’re beginning to dread spoilers at this point, probably don’t read any further in this article (we suggest you check out the hilarious honest trailer for A New Hope).

Over the weekend, J.J. Abrams and the cast participated in a bunch of press events. If you don’t feel like trawling through the interweb looking for all the coverage, here are some highlights:

The second word of ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ is…

A few weeks back, we learned that the first word of the movie is “this.”

Thanks to Fox 5, we now know that the second words is “will.”

Don’t expect J.J. to just keep revealing bits of the movie like this though — he vowed he won’t answer this question again!

‘The Force Awakens’ won’t have a post-credits scene

Because of the comic book movie movement, we’ve become so used to seeing post-credits scenes teasing the next installment (Marvel’s even started doing two!), we forget that movies don’t actually have to do this.

And The Force Awakens won’t be setting up Episode VIII, at least not after the credits have rolled.

“All the scenes are actually in the movie,” Abrams said at yesterday’s press conference, via CinemaBlend.

That goes against a previous rumor that The Force Awakens would somehow set up the Rogue One prequel movie directed by Gareth Edwards.

Sorry Jar-Jar Binks fans, this is not the film you’re looking for…

Star Wars producer Kathleen Kennedy confirmed, to much applause, that beloved despised prequel character Jar-Jar Binks will not be in the movie.

So much for that Gungan skeleton J.J. Abrams joked about sticking in the desert…

P.S. There won’t be any Ewoks, either.

At least one actor will definitely (probably?) be back for Episode VIII

Production for the next installment in the new trilogy will start soon. The movie, directed by Rian Johnson, is set to continue the story of The Force Awakens, so it’s obviously a no-brainer that most — or all — of the characters will return.

Still, it’s 2015, and character death is the spice of cinema. So we were relieved when Kathleen Kennedy appeared to confirm that Oscar Isaac, John Boyega, Gwendoline Christie and Harrison Ford will all return.

…At least, they’re the four she was pointing to when she said, “Rian is about to start shooting Episode VIII, and these guys” — here, Kennedy patted John Boyega on the back — “are getting ready to head over in January.”

Star Wars: The Force Awakens premieres December 18.
