A trailer for the upcoming line of Star Wars: The Force Awakens LEGO sets features our favorite new addition to the Star Wars universe: BB8.
After the first trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, we were already in love with the new droid, BB8. The ball-headed robot is an even cuter version of R2-D2, far more agile and quick on its wheels.
It’ll need all the skills it’s got to escape Kylo Ren, who seems to have it out for the droid in LEGO’s new trailer for their line of merchandise.
“Watch out! It’s Kylo Ren!” the announcer shouts, in a strong indication that Adam Driver’s mystery villain is set up to be as iconic as Darth Vader.
Luckily BB8 gets away, saved by one of our heroes. But that was too close of a call! We know it’s only LEGO, but it still makes us nervous for the fate of the little droid.

This week, all the Star Wars tie-in products will be made available on what has been dubbed “Force Friday.” Target has also launched a Star Wars-themed advertisement, this one playing on our nostalgia and sentimentality for the long-running movie series.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is directed by J.J. Abrams, and stars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Lupita Nyong’o, and the original trio: Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, and Harrison Ford. It hits theaters on December 18, 2015.
