Could this be the confirmation of the long awaited Star Wars: Battlefront 3?

During their E3 2013 EA press conference, EA teased a new Star Wars: Battlefront game.

It was recently thought that Star Wars: Battlefront 3 would never see the light of day, after Disney shut down LucasArts studios.

Soon after, it was announced that EA had bought the rights to all future Star Wars games.

Although the official name Star Wars: Battlefront 3 was never mentioned, it can be assumed that this is the game the teaser trailer alluded to.

In the teaser trailer, the perspective is shown from a first-person point of view. The person’s perspective that we’re seeing the snowy, wreckage-ridden land from is breathing heavily. A sudden explosion on the left side of the screen brings the first-person character to their knees. The screen then fades to the text Star Wars: Battlefront.

In the Star Wars: Battlefront games, players jump into the shoes of the Stormtroopers, both before and after they are under the command of the Sith.

Players often play as the Jedi during gameplay, spanning from fan favorite characters such as Darth Vader and General Grievous.

We can only speculate what the story of Star Wars: Battlefront 3 will be, and if this is an actual confirmation of Star Wars: Battlefront 3.
