This week’s Fandom Fix focuses on a beautiful Star Trek cosplay apron and a badass Batman money clip.

Fandom Fix is a weekly feature article written by Donya Abramo and Karen Rought. With every installment, the duo picks out a fandom-related item they’ve recently come across and describes it in loving detail. There are no product placements here. We only talk about items we’re excited to share with the rest of the world.

You can get your Fandom Fix in a variety of ways, be it jewelry, clothing, games, or something else entirely. We strive to remain unbiased, and we plan on constantly expanding our own horizons as we search for new and interesting pieces. The only requirement is that it must give us the burning need to open our wallets and throw money at its creator.

I love setting up my KitchenAid and whipping up a few nerdy-themed treats for myself and my friends. So, when my apron finally bit the dust — and even some masterful sewing couldn’t bring it back — I decided to go on the search for something to match my geeky soul.

That’s when I found Bambino Amore’s cosplay aprons. Ranging from Disney princesses to superheroes, there really is an apron to suit your particular brand of geek. Who doesn’t love dreaming up their own bakery AU in their kitchen? No? Just me then…

I settled on this Engineering red apron from Star Trek — though I desperately want the Command and Science ones to match. I just hope this doesn’t mean I’ll go the way of most red shirts…

The kitchen is a dangerous place, after all.

Price: $68 | Bambino Amore

Here’s an item for the fellas. And, well, for the ladies, too. Let’s face it, if someone handed me this Batman money clip, I’d use the hell out of it — and not just to keep my money safe. I’m 10 at heart, and you know you’d be throwing it around the house, too.

This batarang clip is die-cast with a rubberized coating and in a matte black finish, so it’ll totally go with your cosplay. It’s also magnetic, meaning it’ll have a firm grip on your money. However, keep in mind this could possibly wipe your credit cards, so be sure to separate them.

It even comes in a fancy box! And though this is completely practical, it does have the added bonus of convincing your friends you’re actually Batman. I know you’re not *saying* you’re Batman, but no one has seen you and Batman in the same room together either.

Price: $39.99 | Think Geek

Would you go for the ‘Star Trek’ apron or the ‘Batman’ money clip?
