Jennifer Hudson starred in the first extended sneak peek at the deliciously dramatic second season of Smash released during Monday’s The Voice.

Showing flashes of upcoming scenes with most of the new cast, the preview saw Karen getting a little loving from Jeremy Jordan’s character, Jennifer Hudson walking out to paparazzi telling Karen to “get ready, this is gonna be you in 6 months” and much more. Watch the video below!

The sophomore season of the NBC musical drama will see several new additions, including new showrunner Josh Safran (Gossip Girl). Guest starring this season will be Liza Minnelli, Hairspray‘s Nikki Blonksy, Rent‘s Jesse L. Martin and Daphne Rubin-Vega as well as Will and Grace‘s Sean Hayes. Bernadette Peters will also return as Ivy’s mother.

NewsiesJeremy Jordan, The Addams Family‘s Krysta Rodriguez and Andy Mientus, from the touring company of Spring Awakening, will be joining the cast as regulars, while Will Chase (Michael Swift), Raza Jaffrey (Dev), Brian d’Arcy James (Frank) and Jaime Cepero (Ellis) won’t be returning in the same capacity.

Smash returns with a two-hour episode Feb. 5 at 10 p.m. ET on NBC. It will move to Tuesday nights instead of Mondays.
