Netflix’s Selena: The Series part 2 finally has a release date! Here’s when you’ll be able to binge the series’ final part.

On Monday (April 5), Netflix announced that Selena: The Series part 2 would officially be premiering on May 4.

The newly minted release date moves the premiere of part 2 up by a full 10 days. Originally, it had been announced back in January that the plan was to release part 2 on May 14.

The online streaming giant unveiled a brand new teaser to celebrate the big news. In it, we see Christian Serratos back in action as Selena Quintanilla– this time, donning the Tejano music legend’s iconic purple sequin jumpsuit. As “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom” plays in the background, the camera pans over to the rest of the core cast in turn.

Selena: The Series part 2 serves the conclusion for the biographical drama, which tells the story of famed Tejano music icon, Selena Quintanilla.

The first part of the series, which debuted late last year, focused on the singer’s childhood as a young girl with big dreams growing up in Texas.

It also raised a few eyebrows from mega-fans for its decision to shine a brighter spotlight on the rest of the Quintanilla family, in lieu of centering on its titular star. With that in mind, it’ll be interesting to see what the creatives behind the series choose to emphasize and delve into for the bio drama’s conclusion.

Selena: The Series part 2 premieres exclusively via Netflix on May 4, 2021.
