Ryan Reynolds is sticking with Netflix for his next project— which he’ll be working on with his The Nines pal, John August.

Deadline reports that Netflix has signed on for a brand new feature titled Upstate, which hails from Ryan Reynolds and Big Fish scribe, John August.

The project serves as a bit of a reunion for Reynolds and August, who previously worked together on the 2007 fantasy drama, The Nines).

As for Upstate, the duo’s new project is being billed as a comedy, though plot details surrounding the project are being kept firmly under wraps for now.

One thing we do know is that both Reynolds and August will serve as co-writers on the comedy film. In addition, Reynolds in turn will also star in the upcoming feature.

Ryan Reynolds is no stranger to working with Netflix. In fact, most recently, the Deadpool 2 actor starred in last year’s
6 Underground.

The action thriller found Reynolds starring as One— a member of six untraceable action heroes who’ve successfully kept off the grid, and buried their pasts for the sake of changing the future of the world.

Directed by action flick aficionado Michael Bay, the movie featured a script by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese. In addition to Reynolds,
6 Underground also stars Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton), Dave Franco (Now You See Me 3), Adria Arjona (Disney+’s Rogue One spinoff series), Ben Hardy (X-Men: Apocalypse), Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (Sicario 2), and Melanie Laurent (Inglorious Basterds).

Currently, there’s no word with regards to when we might expect to see Update debut via Netflix.
