Netflix is signing on for second helpings of Russian Doll.

According to Deadline, Netflix has officially renewed Russian Doll for a second season.

Like the dark comedy’s incredibly popular first season, Russian Doll season 2 will be comprised of eight episodes.

The good news comes out of Recode’s annual Code Conference in Arizona where Natasha Lyonne (who co-created the series with Amy Poehler and Leslye Headland) and Netflix content Vice President Cindy Holland were in attendance.

Lyonne and Holland broke the good news of the series’ second season renewal during an interview at the event.

“Same show, just weirder,” said Lyonne at the event according to The Hollywood Reporter. “The character is a coder, so it would be appropriate to have this be the time and place to say yes. So very much yes, I would love to do [a second season].”

First premiering just before Groundhog Day on February 1, the series focuses on a young woman named Nadia Vulvokov (Lyonne), a New York-based coder who finds herself forced to relive the night of her 36th birthday.

There’s currently no word on when we can expect the second season of the series to premiere on Netflix, but fans of Lyonne herself won’t have to wait long before they see her back on the streaming platform.

Coming up next, Lyonne will be reprising her role as Nickey in the highly anticipated seventh season of Orange is the New Black. The final season of the hit prison drama is set to premiere via Netflix later on this summer on Friday, July 26.
