Looks like Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist fans can look forward to one final chapter of the story.

On Wednesday (September 8), the series announced that a Roku has officially greenly a brand new Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist holiday special movie.

The holiday special, which is set to debut on the Roku Channel later on this year, will find series stars Jane Levy, Skylar Astin, Alex Newell, John Clarence Stewart, Andrew Leeds, Alice Lee, Michael Tomas Grant, Kapil Talker, David St. Louis, Mary Steenburgen, Peter Gallagher and Bernadette Peters all reconvening to give Zoey’s the sendoff it deserves.

As a bit of an added bonus, the holiday special is set to kick off right where season 2 left off.

Shortly after news broke via Roku Channel’s social platforms, the series’ official Twitter account took to the internet to spread the good news with fans far and wide.

“A gift for the extraordinary #ZoeysPlaylist fans who made this possible!” Tweeted the series.

Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist was cancelled by NBC after just two season back in June. But despite the network’s decision to pull the plug, showrunner Austin Winsberg was quick to take to Twitter and let the fans know that everyone involved with the series was trying their hardest to find a new home for the show.

Today’s news might not have been the season renewal fans were hoping for, but a Zoey’s Playlist holiday movie special is still bound to be cause for excitement among viewers.

The Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist holiday movie special is set to debut later this year via the Roku Channel. Additionally, all 25 episodes of the series will be available to stream on the Roku Channel in the US later this fall.
