Robert Downey Jr. is the coolest. In celebration of his birthday, the Iron Man star invited kids over to his to watch Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Yesterday was Robert Downey Jr.’s birthday as well as the release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and to celebrate the actor invited some kids over to watch the film with him.

He posted the photo and the following message on his Facebook page:

Downey Jr. may be Hollywood’s highest paid actor, but he hasn’t let that stop him from being a great person. Having kids over for his birthday is about as classy of a thing as he could do. That act is something those kids will get to keep for their entire lives.

It’s a great reminder of how far Downey Jr. has come from his drug filled past to where he is today. Iron Man was the film that made him the biggest actor today, but casting him was a risk. It’s certainly paid off.
