Black Adam has found its newest cast member in Quintessa Swindell.

According to Variety, Quintessa Swindell is the latest actress to join the cast of New Line and DC’s upcoming Black Adam movie starring Dwayne Johnson.

Specifically, the Trinkets vet will be taking on the role of Cyclone.

For the uninitiated, Cyclone is a junior member of the Justice Society whose superpowers allow her to manipulate both wind and sound.

Quintessa Swindell’s casting announcement comes a few months after we learned that actors Aldis Hodge and Noah Centineo had also joined the cast of Black Adam.

Hodge (The Invisible Man), who was cast in the DC flick back in September, is set to take on the role of Hawkman. Hawkman is a somewhat mysterious character with a wide variety of backstories. The superhero is known for his large, artificial wings made out of a special Nth metal, which allow him the ability to fly.

Meanwhile, Centineo (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before) will play Atom Smasher. Atom Smasher has the ability to control his molecular structure, which gives him the power to manipulate his size, his strength, and his durability.

Directed by Jungle Cruise helmer Jaume Collet-Serra, Black Adam centers on the titular character (Johnson), who also happens to be a long-time nemesis of Shazam. Originally a corrupted Egyptian prince (and also a predecessor to Captain Marvel), Black Adam eventually becomes an anti-hero who sets out to clear his name and restore his reputation.

Black Adam is slated to hit theaters on December 22, 2021.
