Shay Mitchell of Pretty Little Liars just announced that she’s bringing a new baby and a new YouTube series into the world!
It’s official! The Pretty Little Liars actress is expecting a baby with television personality, Matte Babel. Mitchell made the announcement via Instagram, posting this gorgeous photo with the adorable caption: “Does this mean I’m allowed to drive in the car pool lane at all times now?”
She followed that up with a video on her personal YouTube account. However, the video wasn’t a simple pregnancy announcement. It was a trailer for her new docuseries, Almost Ready, which will premiere on YouTube on July 17, and will air every other Wednesday.

“It didn’t feel right to just put up a photo and be like ‘I’m pregnant’ and have everyone think that everything has been peaches and rainbows. This is real like and I want people to come along with me on this journey in real time,” Mitchell says, in the video.
It looks like the series will feature a lot of personal videos and commentary from her pregnancy so far, as well as going forward. “I think pregnancy is awesome for the most part, but it’s also really f***ing lonely,” she admits in one of the video’s more intimate moments.
