Show Notes:
– Marama and Pam are back to bring you all of the biggest news from SDCC!
– But first, Marama has some big news for listeners.
– The girls kick things off as always with our signature How We Hype segment. Pam’s been at SDCC (obvs), but she’s also been reading ‘The Upside of Unrequited.’ Meanwhile, Marama saw Dunkirk and gives us her review.
– We kick off the news with tons of SDCC related stories.
– Marama breaks down the biggest news from this year’s Marvel panel and tells us which film she’s incredibly excited for.
– Pam walks us through the WB panel, including what we learned about Ready Player One, and Justice League.
Kingsman: Golden Circle also had a huge presence at SDCC this year and both girls are incredibly excited to check the sequel out when it hits theaters!
– It wouldn’t be SDCC without a new The Walking Dead trailer, but what the heck was that last scene?!
– We also got a new trailer for Stranger Things season 2.
– In non-SDCC related news, Jenny Han’s book, ‘To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before’ is being optioned for a film!
– We’re not here for the Game of Thrones showrunners’ new HBO series, which is raising some major red flags.
– We cap things off on a somber note: Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington has sadly passed away.
– In TV show of the week, Pam teases the first episode of Outlander season 3, which she got to see at SDCC.
– During our Patreon segment, Marama answers some last minute burning questions our patrons have for her on her final show (lots of book recommendations here!)
– We wrap things off as always, by reading and responding your listener feedback!
