The Once Upon a Time showrunners have answered burning questions about what’s ahead in season 2, including if we’ll ever see a relationship between Emma and August.

Speaking to TV Guide, Adam Horowitz and Ed Kitsis reveal some very interesting tidbits about what we can expect in the rest of season 2.

They reveal that we have not seen the last of Lancelot (played by Sinqua Walls), and strongly hint that he is not dead like Cora claimed. Kitsis wonders, “Why does everyone just believe what Cora says? Not one person on the blogs have doubted Cora, as if she’s the most trustworthy character that we have!”

It’s also very likely that we’ll eventually meet more characters from Lancelot’s past, and the Arthurian legends, including his true love Guinevere and King Arthur.

On the topic of Emma/August, a popular fan pairing, Horowitz says that we definitely haven’t seen the last of the two of them together, but Kitsis shoots down a romantic connection. He says, “I would say that Emma is definitely going to have some interesting suitors this year, but August has, so far, been such a big brother to her that I’m not sure that those two are meant to be. But it’s a TV show; you never know!”

We’ll also see more moments from the characters’ past, such as how Henry ended up in Storybrooke and maybe how Aurora’s mother defeated Maleficent.
