The latest The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug TV spot features some new footage of Smaug and more dialogue from Benedict Cumberbatch as the film’s dragon.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug will be hitting theaters on December 13, and today we have the latest TV spot. Watch the new footage below which features a few more looks at Smaug, as well as Martin Freeman as Bilbo getting tangled up in webs.

Last week we got the latest featurette for the film which featured the film’s new character, Beorn, a giant who turns into a gigantic bear in the film. Be sure to watch the video and check out all the behind-the-scenes footage of Beorn’s house being built.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug release date is set for December 13, 2013. It is the second film in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit trilogy based on the novels by revered author J.R.R Tolkien. The final movie in The Hobbit trilogy, There and Back Again, will hit theaters December 17, 2014.
