The new Scorch Trials trailer continues to open the world outside of the maze.
As we reported earlier, fans can get their first glimpse of the trailer in theaters alongside John Green’s latest film Paper Towns.
But for those of us who don’t want to wait until we’ve reached the cinema, you can check out the newest trailer below:
From huge industrial sets, to death defying action sequences, The Maze Runner franchise has definitely kicked it up a notch. There’s no debating that this trailer packs a punch.
We get not only our first good look at Teresa in action but a glimpse of the Cranks and what they’re capable of. The infamous lightning storm looks spectacular on screen and the scorch itself radiates isolation and death. Janson/Rat-Man (played by Aiden Gillan, who you may recognize from Game of Thrones) is also very present in this trailer.
This is the second official trailer we’ve seen for The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, the first having been released about two months earlier.
The studio has been rather tight lipped about many aspects of the film. Only allowing a select few to see clips from the film or get a look at the newest monsters the Cranks.

This resembles a similar tactic they used when promoting The Maze Runner. Fans of the first film may remember the embargo that was placed over the Grievers. Wes Ball making it his mission to keep all images of the creature under lock and key until the movie was released.
