In the new Punisher trailer, Frank Castle is back and hungry for some more killing! Again.

The Punisher trailer begins by re-establishing Frank’s continued trauma at the loss of his family. From there, it’s all The Punisher‘s familiar iconography — guns, knives, and lots and lots of blood.

And of course, some of that classic gallows humor.

“Shoot on sight,” orders the leader of a SWAT team hunting Castle.

“My pleasure,” Castle rasps. Boom!

The Punisher trailer also offers early glimpses of Deborah Ann Woll reprising her roll as the eternally-shocked Karen Page. Fans are also introduced to a few more of Castle’s dubious allies, including Billy Russo (Ben Barnes) and Micro (Ebon Moss-Bachrach.)

Enemies, too, are arrayed in the new Punisher trailer, most of whom appear to be working for the US government. Apparently, everyone from the CIA to Homeland Security to the guy who orders napkins at the White House were involved in killing Frank Castle’s family.

“After exacting revenge on those responsible for the death of his wife and children, Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) uncovers a conspiracy that runs far deeper than New York’s criminal underworld,” Netflix says. “Now known throughout the city as The Punisher, he must discover the truth about injustices that affect more than his family alone.”

The new trailer remains coy on a release date for The Punisher, which has been continually teased through the show’s Twitter feed. Just like the Punisher himself, Marvel doesn’t want us to see this coming.
