New images released for Marvel’s upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron show a great shot of Black Widow, James Spader (Ultron) speaking with his creator (Robert Downey Jr.), and director Joss Whedon with Chris Evans.

As we approach Avengers: Age of Ultron’s premiere, expect a continued barrage of images and TV spots, and today we have four new images which give us great shots of Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Robert Downey Jr. speaking with James Spader (Ultron’s voice), the magical twins, and Joss Whedon speaking with Chris Evans behind-the-scenes.

We also finally got our first look at Paul Bettany as The Vision in The Avengers: Age of Ultron, and just in case you missed it, feel free to check out the magazine covers, as well as The Vision’s official character poster which was released yesterday.

The most recent teaser for Age of Ultron was action-packed, but the latest TV spots have given it a run for its money. Never before have so many exciting scenes been shown in such a short period of time, and it all feels so cohesive. Marvel’s doing a great job promoting The Avengers’ sequel, and we look forward to what else is to come during the next couple weeks.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron’s first trailer was incredibly well received, with a much darker tone than expected, and the second trailer followed a similar path, but certainly ramped up the excitement.

Marvel also released a couple of TV spots, which had quite a bit of new footage, so be sure to check them out if you happened to miss their release.

Expect an insane amount of promotion for Avengers: Age of Ultron during the next three weeks, as we approach the film’s U.S. release on May 1. The studio also announced China’s release date will be on May 12. The Avengers’ sequel may very well be the most anticipated sequel of all time, especially for Marvel fans, and the studio will be going all out with Age of Ultron promotion.

Some very early predictions from say we’ll be seeing $217 million during Avengers: Age of Ultron’s opening weekend, but we expect to see it reach even higher numbers due to Marvel’s extremely successful solo movies, which has helped build its audience to an incredibly large number.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier should also give it a huge bump to moviegoers who wouldn’t normally see comic book movies, as it was seen as a true dramatic thriller, and not just a comic book movie. The Winter Soldier took in $714 million worldwide, and the first Avengers movie took in $1.5 billion — billion with a b.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron will be released in theaters in the U.S. on May 1, 2015, with its follow-up being Avengers: Infinity War, which has been split into two parts.
