Watch first ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ trailer (update: official, HD!)

Following a massive leak earlier this afternoon, Marvel have released The Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer officially and in gorgeous HD.

Watch the first Age of Ultron trailer – which wasn’t supposed to be released until next Tuesday – below:

In The Avengers: Age of Ultron’s first trailer we hear Ultron mostly talking about how he’s in control now. It looks as though he is built via destroyed parts of Iron Man’s suits, but we won’t know for sure until the film hits.

The film itself looks massive, as each character is shown around the world in different environments. It’ll definitely be interesting to see how our superheroes get to all of these places in the storyline.

We also see what appear to be flashbacks, with the ballerina dancing and a couple of the other scenes. These are interesting, and we’re curious if it will be Black Widow’s backstory.

We shouldn’t forget that Paul Bettany plays The Vision, who we didn’t see in this trailer, but we imagine he will play a pivotal part in the film.

An actor we did see was Andy Serkis, whose role has yet to be revealed, but is reportedly set to play Ulysses Klaw. Klaw is a physicist working in the field of applied sonics, which has ties to the Black Panther storyline.

We see the twins, Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch, and they seem to be following Ultron at one point in the trailer. We believe they may be with him at first, and then switch to The Avengers.

Ultron is the key though, and he looks pretty incredible, especially at the end of the trailer. He obviously goes through multiple transformations throughout the film, and we cannot wait to see what the battles will look like with all of his drones surrounding him.

Marvel had a sense of humor on Twitter about the trailer leaking earlier today:

Tuesday night during Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., it was revealed that The Avengers: Age of Ultron’s first trailer would premiere during the October 28 episode next week. Obviously the leaked pushed Marvel’s hand, but we’ve now found out that we’ll be getting additional footage from the film during next week’s episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Of course fans have been incredibly excited to finally see the first footage from The Avengers sequel, and earlier today we had two images that had leaked from the trailer featuring Ultron’s new look and Iron Man’s Hulkbuster suit.

Marvel have also released an official Avengers: Age of Ultron poster in HD, which can be seen below:

We’ve seen an official shot of Ultron before, but what we’re seeing in the trailer is a different version of the villain’s armor. The Hulkbuster armor is definitely new, and it seems to be an entirely new design that we haven’t seen before despite seeing some official concept art of it previously.

In Iron Man 3 Tony Stark destroyed all of his suits, so we’re interested to see when he builds this Hulkbuster armor to battle the Hulk, and if he uses it against Ultron at some point as well.

The first trailer for The Avengers: Age of Ultron will most likely still be shown during next week’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode, so be sure to check out Marvel’s show on ABC.
