Riverdale spinoff, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is officially coming to a close.

On Wednesday (July 8) night, Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina took to its official Twitter account to confirm that the series’ upcoming fourth season would, in fact be its last.

“It all comes down to one last Chilling Adventure,” tweeted the show. “Our final chapter is coming later this year. Coven forever.”

In addition to confirming that the end is near, the series paired its tweet with four new stills from the forthcoming final season.

Shortly after the news of the cancellation broke online, showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa also took to Twitter to thank the cast and crew for their efforts over the course of the past few years.

“Our final chilling adventure begins this fall on @netflix. Hold on tight. So proud of this show, so grateful to everyone who worked on it,” he tweeted.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, Aguirre-Sacasa also shared some extended thoughts with regards to the cancellation via a statement in which he teased that they’ll be able to give Chilling Adventures of Sabrina the sendoff it deserves.

“Working on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has been an incredible honor from day one. The cast, beginning with Kiernan as everyone’s favorite teen witch, has been an absolute joy. I am beyond thankful to the crew, writers, editors, assistants, and everyone for pouring so much love into this dark dream of a show,” said Aguirre-Sacasa according to THR.

“I’m also grateful to our partners at Netflix, Warner Bros., Berlanti Television and Archie Comics for letting us tell the story we wanted to tell, the way we wanted to tell it. We can’t wait for everyone to see part four.”
