We’re breaking down the best wedding shows on Netflix for any mood, no matter how you feel about weddings.

The hugely profitable wedding industry has endured through countless seasons, economies, and generations, and it’s only growing from here! People just love love, especially when love involves open bars, tropical destinations, gorgeous gowns and tailored tuxes.

With that said, it makes perfect sense that it seems like there are more Netflix wedding shows every time I visit the streaming service. As usual, Netflix knows exactly what we want to see, and in terms of wedding shows, it delivers on all counts. Between the four Netflix original weddings shows, Say I Do, The Wedding Coach, The Big Day and Marriage or Mortgage, there truly is something for every taste.

One thing that we really appreciate about all of the wedding shows on Netflix is that they don’t seem to fall into the same annoying tropes that you’d typically see on network TV. There’s no needless drama, amped up angst, or commercial-break cliffhangers, which leaves so much more time to dive into all of the decor, fashion, food, and romance that we really love about weddings.

Each of the Netflix wedding shows offers something unique, so there’s sure to be one for you. Let’s face it, if you’re anything like me, they’re probably all for you, but to help you decide which one to watch first, we’ve determined the best wedding shows on Netflix for any situation.

The best wedding shows on Netflix if…

…you’re planning a wedding: ‘Marriage or Mortgage’

In Marriage or Mortgage, Nashville based real estate agent Nichole Holmes and wedding planner Sarah Miller compete to convince young couples to use their savings to either throw their dream wedding or put a down payment on a home. They pull out all the stops to win, including adding outrageously heartwarming, and only slightly manipulative personal touches and throwing in tons of extras to tip the scales in their favor.

Nichole and Sarah are both #goals in every way, and you’ll find yourself rooting for both of them as the show unfolds. In each episode Nichole shows a couple three homes that fit into their budget, while Sarah works with them to make their wedding vision come to life.

Marriage or Mortgage is by far the best Netflix wedding show to watch if you’re actually planning a wedding because it actually breaks down the cost of each wedding in terms of the dress, the food, the decor, the venue, and additional items unique to each couple. The show will give you some insight about what you can expect to spend on these things, and where you can get the most bang for your buck for the things that are most important to you.

You’ll also inevitably walk away with some great ideas that you might just implement in your own big day. From food trucks, to carriages that transport guests between venues, to DIY flower crown stations, Sarah thinks of everything to help make her clients have the most special wedding day.

Of course, the potential downfall of watching Marriage or Mortgage when you’re planning a wedding is that it might make you decide to scrap the whole thing and buy a house instead, but either way you’ll walk away with some great tips and a better understanding of what you want.

…weddings stress you out: ‘The Wedding Coach’

Comedian Jamie Lee, who hosts Netflix’s The Wedding Coach, isn’t your typical wedding planner. If anything, she’s a wedding un-planner. After nearly losing her mind, herself, and her partner while planning her own wedding, Jamie Lee has had it with “big bridal,” and is seeking to help her soon-to-be-wed clients cut the fat and focus on what really matters to them.

Like any good coach, Jamie Lee wants to get the gold (a great wedding) without sacrificing the health and well-being of any of her players (the couple). When the couple gets caught up in all of the things they think their wedding day should be, everything they’ve seen in magazines, and all of the pressure coming from friends and family, Jamie Lee consistently reminds them that none of that really matters. The focus should be on what makes the day special to you and your partner, and celebrating your love.

If just the thought of planning a wedding gives you anxiety, The Wedding Coach might be the right Netflix wedding show for you. Jamie Lee will make you laugh and remind you that those who love you just want to see you happy, and that it’s never worth sacrificing your relationship for a wedding, no matter how insta-worthy it may be.

Also, in each episode Jamie Lee is joined by one of her comedian friends, including Fortune Feimster, Mamrie Hart and Matteo Lane, so you’re in for double the laughs and a brand new perspective in each episode of the show!

…you’re looking for a good cry: ‘Say I Do’

Admittedly, when I first heard the premise of Say I Do, I instinctively panicked. In each episode, one partner thinks they’re simply “telling their love story,” while the other partner knows (or hopes) that they will be getting married in a matter of days in a ceremony arranged by “fairy godmothers” Jeremiah Brent, Thai Nguyen, and Gabriele Bertaccini!

You can see it written all over the faces of the brides when three men run out mere seconds after they’re proposed to, telling them that their wedding is just three days away. It would be a true nightmare for many people, and I would be very surprised if Say I Do didn’t have at least one couple say “I don’t” to the rushed ceremony.

That being said, the more I watched the show and got to know interior designer Jeremiah Brent, who handled the wedding decor, chef Gabriele Bertaccini, who catered the wedding, and fashion designer Thai Nguyen, who custom designed the clothing for each wedding, the more I came around to the idea. The three of them put so much care into each individual wedding and created something truly beautiful and unique for each couple, who were able to provide as much input as they could.

Say I Do is one of the best Netflix wedding shows if you really like to focus on the romance, as it gets in deep with each couple. Each stunning wedding becomes a perfect portrait of their personalities and their union. There are some extremely emotional episodes as couples dive into their personal trials and in some cases, deal with reconnecting with family before the wedding.

You’ll also come to love the bond between the three hosts, as they divulge pieces of their own stories to the couples and to each other. Trust me, you’ll need more than a few tissues if you decide to make this your next Netflix wedding show!

…you like extravagance with a side of culture: ‘The Big Day’

You haven’t seen an extravagant wedding until you’ve experienced the multi-day, performance and parade packed affairs that are traditional Indian weddings. Each episode of The Big Day takes you through two of these mindblowing matrimonies, and by the end you’ll probably be thinking that western weddings could do with a lot of improvements.

Each episode has a different “theme,” ranging from destination weddings, to arranged marriages, to “Type A brides,” to cross cultural weddings, and they each give you a unique insight into the traditions of Indian weddings, the couple, and their culture. All while being filled with both family and romance.

The Big Day is kind of the whole package. Like in Say I Do, The Big Day also lets you spend a lot of time getting to know each couple, their love story, and their family, who are also interviewed for this Netflix wedding show. It also breaks down a lot of the details of some of the weddings, like in Marriage or Mortgage, with each couple explaining what traditions are most important to them, and which they’ve decided to leave behind, like in The Wedding Coach.

On top of all that, The Big Day showcases some of the most colorful, beautiful, and joyful weddings I’ve ever seen on TV. All of the talented dancers, bejeweled clothing, and delicious looking food don’t even compare to all of the fun it looks like everyone is having at these weddings. All in all, The Big Day will surely leave you beaming from all of the love and luxury.
