Michael C. Hall has once again teased some thoughts ahead of Dexter season 8 in regards to Debra Morgan, Hannah McKay and Dr. Evelyn Vogel’s involvement throughout the final season.

Michael C. Hall is once again teasing fans ahead of Dexter season 8 in regards to the character development of Debra Morgan, Hannah McKay and Charlotte Rampling.

We all know after the Dexter season 7 finale, that things are set to look chaotic for the final season, with some of the main cast stealing the limelight around Dexter Morgan. Debra Morgan will be more important than ever before with the shooting of Maria LaGuerta clearly destroying her mental and emotional state, but how is Dexter and Debra’s relationship after such a catastrophic moment?

In an interview with TV Guide, Hall says, “Things are strange. Deb left the police department, and she’s not in a good place. Dexter feels a sense of responsibility for what happened and wants to make things right, but they’re not exactly connecting.”

We finally have confirmation that Deb leaves the Police department and isn’t just taking some time and this will enevitably confirm that Batista is the new lieutenant, although we’re still awaiting confirmation on that front, too.

We all know that Dexter will feel he’s responsible for Debra’s breakdown, and Debra will of course deflect any help from her brother, as we’ve seen throughout the many trailers.

The article leads onto Hannah McKay’s involvement, acted by the stunning Yvonne Strahovski. When asked if Hannah and Dexter will hook up again, Hall says, “I won’t give it away, but Hannah has a significant role this season. She’s dangerous and, admittedly, very attractive to Dexter.”

Strahovski has said that she’ll be back to shake things up, and Hall completely agrees on the matter. Her significant role is still unknown, but will she be out to get revenge on Dexter, or will she become an ally of his?

Dr. Evelyn Vogel will become a thorn in Dexter’s side through Dexter season 8 with Rampling set to become the lady to help Miami Metro track not only serial killers, but also find out who exactly murdered Maria LaGuerta.

When asked about Vogel’s messing with Dexter’s head, Hall commented, “[Vogel messes with Dexter]…in a big way. She has unique insights about who Dexter is. She’s spent her life studying him, and those insights might just point us to the end.”

We’ve seen some material courtesy of Showtime revealing more about Vogel, who could potentially be the most important new addition to the series we’ve witnessed. See what Rampling has to say regarding Vogel down below.

She’s spent her whole life following him? How come we’ve never heard of her, or seen her mentioned? Would Harry have known her, confided in her? We’ll have to wait just over a month for the story to unravel, but it’s set to be a climatic ending to such a cult show.
