Disney’s Magic Kingdom will serve as inspiration for a new universe of series coming down the pipeline at Disney+.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, For All Man Kind vet Ron Moore is teaming with Disney+ to create multiple television series centered on Disney’s Magic Kingdom.

As part of the new partnership, Moore is set to serve as writer and executive producer on the first project in the series.

Titled The Society of Explorers and Adventurers, the forthcoming series is set in a universe in which all of the lands the Magic Kingdom theme park is comprised of exist in another universe. Characters from both the Disney parks as well as classic Disney films also happen to exist in said universe.

The bare bones description of what we can expect from The Society of Explorers and Adventurers doesn’t offer much to go off of. At the same time, the broad nature of just how much Magic Kingdom and its lands encompasses means there’s a lot of room for Moore and his team to play around when it comes to the stories they’ll be telling.

Speaking of Moore, he’ll reportedly be working in partnership with Disney’s Imagineering Team, as well as the team beind the creation and design of all of Disney’s theme parks to bring the universe to life.

The plan is for the forthcoming Disney+ universe to turn into a franchise similar to what we’ve seen from the streamer’s continued expansion of the Marvel franchise.

The Society of Explorers and Adventurers isn’t the only Disney project Ron Moore is working on.

In addition, Moore is also currently teaming with Jon M. Chu on an updated Swiss Family Robinson series for Disney+.

Currently, there’s no word on when we might expect to see the first of Disney’s Magic Kingdom universe series debut via Disney+
