The Defenders will bring together Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist in Marvel’s first team-up series, exclusively on Netflix.

Krysten Ritter, who plays the super strong and super sarcastic hero Jessica Jones, is having the time of her life on the set of The Defenders. So much so, in fact, that she’s already ready to jump into season 2, even though they’re still filming season 1!

In an interview with EW, the actor tells the outlet, “We’re all having a blast. We’re all excited to be working together.”

Fans are certainly excited to see everyone come together in one series as well, having seen each of them in their own individual shows first.

This is part of what makes the Marvel Cinematic Universe so great: we invest ourselves in individual characters, watching their origin stories, their struggles, their successes and failures, and then we see those individual characters fight and work together.

The equation certainly worked for The Avengers, and there’s little doubt it’ll work just as well for The Defenders.

But the reason for Ritter’s excitement on The Defenders season 2 might not be as altruistic as we were hoping:

“With Jessica Jones, I’m in almost every frame of the show,” Ritter points out. “This is spread out so we’re all working about three days a week. We’re all in celebration of that. It’s honestly kind of a dream job.” She laughs. “If they want to do a Defenders 2,” she says. “I’m in.”

Well, can we blame her? Saving people and sleeping in. That would be a dream job.
