Killing Eve is coming to a close.

Prepare to bid farewell to Villanelle and Eve Polastri. Killing Eve is officially set to end with its forthcoming fourth season, according to Variety.

Series stars Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer, who play the assassin and the British intelligence investigator, respectively, were both on hand to comment on the series’ upcoming fourth and final season.

In separate statements, the Emmy Award winning actresses spoke to how excited they are to bring fans a phenomenal season before the time comes to say goodbye.

Killing Eve has been one of my greatest experiences and I look forward to diving back into Eve’s remarkable mind soon,” said Oh. “I’m so grateful for all cast and crew who have brought our story to life and to the fans who have joined us and will be back for our exciting and unpredictable fourth and final season.”

Said Comer: “Killing Eve has been the most extraordinary journey and one that I will be forever grateful for. Thank you to all the fans who’ve supported us throughout and come along for the ride. Although all good things come to an end, it’s not over yet. We aim to make this one to remember!”

While the original iteration of the series might be coming to an end, it doesn’t sound as though AMC Networks and Sid Gentle Films Ltd, (which produce the series) is ready to let go of the world any time soon. In fact, the studios are already toying around with the idea of developing some potential spinoffs for the series.

Until then, fans can look forward to Killing Eve season 4, which will be comprised of eight episodes total.

Spearheaded by Lara Neal (who will act as writer, showrunner, and executive producer), the final season of the series is set to begin production early this summer out in the U.K and across Europe.
